Story Highlights

Plot
Heeramandi Season 1 is about the lives of a few courtesans in Lahore at the end of the British rule in India. In the meanwhile, Mallikajaan’s daughter, Bibbojaan, secretly joins the independence movement and her younger daughter Alamzeb dreams of becoming a poet rather than a courtesan. She finds hope of freedom when she falls in love with Tajdar. Competition, romance, treachery and opposition to the political meet up in the lives of women of Heeramandi as they have to make difficult choices of power, family, sacrifice and freedom.
