Plot
Mersal follows the story of three different characters, all played by Vijay. A street-smart magician named Maaran uses his tricks to expose a corrupt and greedy doctor named Vector, who has been running a massive medical scam and cheating poor patients for money. As Maaran gets closer to the truth, the story slowly reveals a deep personal connection between him and Vector, tied to a painful past that neither of them has fully let go of.
The second half of the film digs into the backstory of Maaran’s father, a honest and devoted doctor who was killed by Vector years ago. Driven by revenge and a strong sense of justice, Maaran takes it upon himself to bring Vector down and expose the broken healthcare system that allowed such corruption to grow. The film blends action, emotion, and a sharp social message, making it more than just a regular entertainer.
